Fees and Insurance

I accept Aetna, Cigna, Moda, Optum, Providence, Regence Blue Cross/Blue Shield, United Behavioral Health and United Healthcare insurance.  You may also check with your insurance company to find out if they accept out-of-network behavioral health care providers.  Your  co-pay is payable to me at each session.  I will bill your insurance company if I’m on their panel.  If not, I will ask you to pay my full fee up front and will bill the company for you so that they will send a check to you (your allowed amount minus co-pay).  You are responsible for checking with your insurance company to find out what your co-pay is before your first paid session.

I accept cash, checks, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.  If a check is returned, you will be responsible for all bank fees connected to it.

My policy is to charge for a late cancellation (less than 24 hours advance notice) at the regular rate paid by you or your insurance company (billed to your credit card which I have on file).   Insurance companies will not pay for missed sessions.  I schedule my time around being available for my clients and neither of us are spending our time well if the appointment isn’t kept!  If there is an emergency, we can discuss it.

Although the initial meeting is free of charge if we decide we don’t think we’re a good fit, I’m afraid that I can’t offer this a second time.  If you miss or late cancel for the first session, I will charge for the rescheduled meeting regardless of our decision.  This is, again, to make sure that I am able to schedule my time wisely.

Everyone deserves to receive the help they need and therefore I will consider working with you at discounted rate if my standard fees are a problem for you.
